Insocius joins WEConnect as a certified women-owned business

Written by Insocius - 2 minute read

At Insocius, we are thrilled to announce our certification as a member of WEConnect International, the largest online community of women-owned businesses. This global recognition serves as a powerful testament to our unwavering commitment to fostering diversity, inclusion, and empowerment within our industry and beyond.

The vision behind Insocius was born from the personal experience of our founder and CEO, Caroline Stern. “When I founded Insocius, I saw countless skilled and experienced women forced to take a backseat or opt-out entirely from their careers as a result of lack of flexible and part-time opportunities,” Caroline explains. “Our biotech and pharma customers were missing out on their brilliant minds simply because the traditional model demanded that these women were ‘always on.’

Caroline upended that belief and pioneered a new way of working at Insocius. “From day one, our business model has centered on enabling everyone in our team to integrate their career alongside other priorities. We actively encourage our collaborators to have a ‘life portfolio’ and find ways to structure how we work so individuals are not asked to sacrifice their life goals and ambitions.”

Our WEConnect certification reinforces our dedication to creating an environment where diverse perspectives are celebrated, and talented individuals can thrive, regardless of their gender or background. This philosophy extends beyond our internal operations; it shapes our approach to partnerships and collaborations with leading life sciences companies that increasingly prioritise diversity and inclusion in their business practices.

According to Bain & Company, a company’s choice of vendors sends a powerful signal about its values. “By strategically selecting diverse suppliers such as minority-owned and women-owned business enterprises, companies can dramatically advance equity in the broader economy. Such efforts are not just good for society but good for improving business performance as well” (Bain & Co Coffman et al., 2021).

By embracing diversity and empowering individuals from all walks of life, we can unlock new heights of creativity, insight, and impact in the life sciences industry.

At Insocius, we take immense pride in being female-founded, owned, and led. If you’re a procurement professional or decision-maker in the pharmaceutical or biotech sector, we invite you to explore the possibilities of partnering with us.
